Euro Pilot Car is a company specialising in the organisation of abnormal loads, and is also responsible for obtaining the necessary permits for the movement of these oversized vehicles.
The service is able to assist you with applications for category 1, 2 and 3 permits, on a journey or on a permanent basis.

ON WHICH PLATFORM IS THE APPLICATION SUBMITTED?
In 2023, the DSR (French Road Safety Delegation) announced the launch of the “Mon transport exceptionnel” platform (known as “SI-TE”) to handle digital applications for exceptional transport permits.
The application then goes to each regional prefecture, where the services study the submitted elements to validate passages, recommend circulation elements, or even reject passages..
HOW LONG DOES IT TYPICALLY TAKE TO OBTAIN A CONVOY PERMIT?
It takes between 2 and 8 weeks to obtain convoy permits. This varies depending on the route, the complexity of transport, and the responsiveness of the relevant services.
